The first painting I ever sold was of a cooked breakfast, many years ago. So after a long holiday this summer, and to get me back into the swing of painting again, I decided to revisit the subject.

Painted in my usual bold pop art style and set against my trademark sky blue background is this classic full English or American cooked breakfast - fried eggs, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, and a fried tomato.

As usual in my work I'm less interested in realism, or healthy 'fine-dining' food, instead I prefer to explore the bright colours and nostalgic memories associated with comfort food, reducing it to a graphic style that become almost abstract and pattern-like.

In short, it's a bold and bright piece of art that would brighten up any room in your home, although lets face it, it would look best in your kitchen!

It is painted on a stretched cotton canvas that is ready to hang, and signed on the back as pictured.
