The painting is made in mixed media using modeling paste, which gives an interesting surface to the stone islands. Under different lighting, the picture looks interesting and new. The painting is painted in an impressionistic manner, here the impression of the velvet night is important. The water glares, the colors of the night bring everything closer in color, and only flashes of yellow, ocher and gray-blue. The result is a northern landscape in restrained colors.
