Contemplation is an original painting made with oil paint over acrylic impasto paint substrate, six pieces as a whole, described as a double triptych.
These themed paintings take me back to my childhood when I first discovered quiet moments, privacy and an enjoyable solitude just sitting by some water, be it a pond in the back garden and a thrashing sea, running river, the sea. a lake shore.
I have painted this one in a slightly Impressionist style which allows one to contemplate the whole effect of the painting, a slightly selfish piece, perhaps but we all need that now and again.
The size is substantial and the format not exactly run of the mill, including 2 inch gaps, it is 84 inches wide, 34 inches tall and 1.5 inches deep on 6 box canvasses.
Hanging this piece is best achieved by the use of masonary nails, the canvasses sit flush to the wall, resting their internal upper wooden frame edges upon the nails
It will require space in which to display as it is quite a statement piece with a peaceful intent.
