Artist's description:

I have walked along the beach at Constantine for years. On many occasions I have encountered fellow painters, but always on the beach. Just to be different I thought the view from the nearby Trevose Head had some unique qualities. Apart from the odd wreck of a long dead car which must have hurtled over the cliff on a dark and stormy night, the cliffs and re-entrants shelter many other tales and mysteries. The richness of the colour of the rocks and plants contrasts well with the sea, sky and sand. One aspect it is hard to bring into this painting is the wind on the headland and the sound of the sea crashing and grinding away at the seemingly timeless and resiliant rock
