Artist's description:

The confluence of two of America's great rivers, the Mississippi and Missouri, is a mystical place and one of my favorite places to visit. For thousands of years Native Americans have lived, hunted and cultivated crops here. Some of the trees lining it's banks were mere saplings when Lewis & Clark (1803) passed by on their journey searching for a northwest passage to the Pacific Coast. This painting was inspired by a winter visit when the sun was setting across the Missouri River much further south.

Just north of St Louis, I come here as often as I can to soak in the good Karma of the confluence. I often think I'll run into Siddhartha sitting on the bank watching "Time and River Flowing".
