Artist's description:

One weeks worth of work to make the coils for this piece, translated to about 46 hours of solid work... cutting, twirling, twisting, rolling, gluing and toss in the basked of coils. Once I finally had a basket full of coils, I started on the design that had crept into my mind. Three large coils for the base and build from there... I get a vague, general idea of what I want for my next piece, but it boils down to how the coils react to my design, they are as easy to manipulate, I can only come up with a direction, a general design desire and the paper then dictates the rest. I injected in this piece my paper spurs and a couple of delicate paper straws because I wanted to break the monotony of the coils and give it even more personality.

Materials used:

paper, glue
