Artist's description:

"Come On Train" is an oil painting depicting a group of kids at a railway station scene waiting for a train to get to an all nighter in the 1970's. Long leather coats, hold-alls and rare soul records were obligatory!
The painting was exhibited at the Heart and Soul exhibition in Edinburgh in 2016. It's also been exhibited at some of the bigger Northern Soul events over the past couple of years. The reaction has been massive - people often commenting "it's exactly as it was" and "it's exactly what we used to do."
The painting measures 50 cm tall by 40 cm wide, and has been completed on stretch canvas.
Many of my paintings and sketches are named after Northern Soul records. Northern Soul was the first underground music scene in Britain, and still probably the biggest. "Come On Train" was a single released in 1973 by Don Thomas (a former member of the Drifters) on the Nuvj label. It became a massive Northern Soul hit, filling the dance floors at Northern Soul venues.
Please note that limited edition prints are available - it's a popular print!!
All my paintings have my dancing girl logo printed on the reverse and come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
