This screen print is generated from a photograph I took whilst walking down the old access road toward Force Crag Mine from Braithwaite, following the course of Coledale Beck.
The weather wasn't favourable, with the rain driving into my face as I left Coledale by fording the beck and heading up and over Force Crag, on toward the distant top of Grasmoor, hidden somewhere in the cloud above.
This image is taken from a series called 'The Crummock Water Round', an ongoing project to document a 2-day walk from Keswick to Buttermere Youth Hostel and back again.
The print is made from 8 constituent colours, starting with the grey of the sky, and finishing with the white of Low Force waterfall.
Printed on 300gsm Canaletto using water based inks
