Artist's description:

Here is an image of a beautiful flower called colchice here in France, and autumn crocus elsewhere. My mother use to call them 'naked ladies'. They appear in autumn as the name suggests with their gorgeous purple colour to brighten up the fields and woods - also on the mountain. They have no leaves at this time. The leaves appear in spring - without the flowers!!

My image is how I imagine an insect might view this flower, since insects view colours at different frequencies to us and can see into the ultra violet.

This is a glossy print, which will be sent rolled into a cardboard box or tube. the violet line is NOT on the print. it is there to show the extent of the white border.
If you prefer, I can cut off the white border before sending the image. Please ask.
