One of a series of paintings from earlier this year in which I was trying out different clouds and skies. This one is of Brighton seafront in the UK and has an ironic subtitle "Wish You Were Here", the antithesis of a holiday postcard as a dreadful storm approaches the beachfront and everybody has made a run for it! I painted this one in a purplish monochrome with a tiny bit of yellow/orange on the ice cream cone.
