Artist's description:

Having created several works recently with a muted blue pallet, I decided to try something a bit brighter! This is also a more complete and conventional scene, but I'm still playing with perspective and the transparency of objects.

Who's the mysterious figure on the right - is it the barman clearing up? Or is it a ghost, the memory of someone who's no longer here? Perhaps the figure is the only real part and the cafe is in his imagination? Nah... probably just the barman.

This painting is on a deep-edge canvas, painted on the edges too.
