Artist's description:

When I stayed in Ireland as artist in residence I stayed in a little village called Ballycastle. The trees where crowded with craws. They had their own community and I was watching them a lot doing their dayly things. It was one big family existing from several generations. I see similarity with human communication and life.
This oilpainting goes from egg to flying out into the big, wide open, promissing blue sky. There is another painting beneath this painting. You can still see it in the egg. The pink flower belongs to another period of my life. For me it was very special to do this, to show that life goes on and time changes. It gave me a feeling of freedom.
