Original artwork description:
Painted in the beautiful landscape of the Hughenden Valley estate. A former home of Benjamin Disraeli, the House is now National Trust run and sits in a fine corner of the Chiltern hills North West of London.
One of my favourite themes, how the bowls of trees interact with the sunlight, which was shining brightly on this day.
I have some process pictures where you can see that I often build up the layers of paint in a rather hap hazard kind of way, rather than completely block the painting in and go from there.
