My title was inspired by a poem by Emily Dickinson that embodies the idea of hope personified as a bird. The poem conveys the message that we, as humans, can find hope in the everyday reminders from nature. The addition of butterflies symbolizes change, as I believe that hope and change are intertwined. My goal is to use vivid imagery to showcase nature's constant transformation and to evoke hope for a better future, one where we can coexist peacefully with the natural world. The landscape depicted is from the beaches of California and features a Bird of Paradise flower in a bright blue glass vase.
