Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This painting shows a barn owl perched on a post in the magic landscape of the Cherhill Downs in Wiltshire. On the hill is the Cherhill white horse, which was cut into the chalk in the 19th century. It's now a prominent and much loved feature, and can be seen from miles away. On the left, on the horizon, rises the mound of Silbury Hill. This man-made structure was built by our Neolithic ancestors more then 5,000 years ago. This landscape, with its long human history, has fascinated me since I first visited the mighty stones at Avebury many years ago.
