Model Leander is featured in this hyper realistic painting.
I painted this on a sunny week in the dying days of winter. The snowdrops were out and it was the first moment of the year that I could open the double doors of my studio. That incredible electric was in the air that you get during the change in season.
I had recently fallen off my bicycle and broken my foot so my mobility was limited, so I used the time to create. I was on a lot of painkillers at the time, and I believe this was the reason behind the capsule on the tongue.
