This sculpture is hand carved out of a Cedar tree trunk and is designed to hold one wine bottle. The bark of the tree is intentionally left in place to create contrast in color and texture.
The piece is mounted on Ambrosia Maple and framed.
The red throughout the wood mounting is epoxy resin inlay and wood chips from the carving of the tree are inlaid in the epoxy.
The piece is sealed with a clear acrylic and has a french cleat on the back ready for hanging.
