Cattle Pride is one in my series of farm animal artworks. This painting is one featuring a head-on view of a cow on a diagonally divide background of pink and blue. A simplified geometric cylinder is in the bottom right corner in a child-like manner to represent a watering trough. Drips from the bottom blue half of the background drip off the edge. These elements and motifs symbolize the problems with modern factory farming practices. Art buyers and art collectors will notice the layers and textured oil painting techniques that make up the whole painting, providing depth. Thick reds and a controlled myriad of colors mimicking impressionist coloring techniques were used to paint the main subject. Art collectors and animal lovers will see the individualism and emotion of the cow through the raw, yet controlled brush strokes.
