Original artwork description:

This is my latest artwork, it is a large colourful oil painting of a still life and a Cat.. The subject is of a very friendly black and white Cat who decided to lay on my still life set up and a large vase of flowers. Charlie cat is my neighbours cat and I hadn't planned to paint him but the painting needed something and he had positioned him self on the table alongside the Bird of Paradise Flowers . I thought this is just what the painting composition needs. He looked very comfortable and pleased with himself. Predictably he only stayed for one siting so I took a photograph to use later on in the painting. So I worked with a paper cutout of the cat. I was pleased with the result though. This painting is painted on deep canvas and is ready to hang.
