This is mounted and framed miniature painting. The actual size of this item may be much smaller than this one you see on your screen. The frame of the painting allows it to stand on its own or to be hanged on the wall; however, there isn't any added hook to it (please see the photo showing the back of the image).
This particular painting shows, Dunvegan castle which you'll find on the gorgeous Isle of Skye, a beautiful place with tremendous dazzling and ever changing skies. Here you’ll discover that the sky is never dull, or grey; and when it is, it stays not for much longer than few hours like this. Most of the time sky on Skye is very lively and object of art on itself. I’m always impressed how changeable the sky in the whole country UK can be, and now, I understand better Turner (British painter) and think that he could paint only here, in the UK, his great paintings. Turner’s paintings would be different when he would live somewhere else in the world, I think.
