Artwork description:

Cape Tormentine. A time-worn and sea-battered pier stretches, like a finger, into the Northumberland Strait. Once, this place was a bustling ferry terminal for passengers crossing the water from New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island. Now, it sits nearly abandoned, visited only by the fishers who come to try their luck with bringing home some mackerel. Their laughter and friendly banter circle the lonely lighthouse and then joins the wind in a flight across the sea.

--------------------------------

This print is part of the Heron Road series - inspired by a year-long road trip along the back roads of North America.

--------------------------------

A nine-colour limited-edition reduction linocut, carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually.

Every print in this edition is unique; minor variations are possible and are the result of the process by which it's made. Colours may vary slightly depending on your monitor.

Materials used:

printmaking ink, battleship grey linoleum
