Artist's description:

Abstract Horse inspired by my Camargue surroundings nearby the Van Gogh town of Arles where I live. Technique is Ni Honga , a very ancient Japanese art that is created by layers of pigments mixed with Nikawa glue. The pigments are suspendu in each layer , creating a bright effect , also very transparent !

Placed on a board which allows the Washi paper to be stretched and allows the layering of pigments.

Materials used:

Painted on fine Japanese paper with Bright Japanese paint and marouflé on Ji Xuan 50 g .
