A cold winter mountain landscape of the Caithness flow country under a starry night sky. In this study I have tried to convey the atmosphere and light of the moors on a crisp clear frosty night moonlight sky with the stars of the milky way shining in the dark sky.
In this small study I have tried to convey the coldness and icy feeling by using cool monochromatic blue tones with an unusual textural effect.
Painted in a contemporary impressionist style with a palette knife.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) lightly textured canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.

Will require a signature on delivery.
