Title: By the Water
Medium: Hand pulled 9.5 x 7.5 inch Trace Monotype with Watercolor
Support: Arches Cover Printmaking paper
Process: This monotype was made by rolling ink on a smooth surface, and then laying printmaking paper on top of the wet ink, and drawing on the paper. The pressure of my pencil pushed the paper into the wet ink creates a textured ink line, or trace monotype. (see photos in this listing). After the ink was dry on the monotype, I added watercolor and a tiny trace of colored pencil.
Edition: This is an edition of 1 (one).
Frame: The art is offered here unframed, but if you'd like it to be professionally matted & framed, be in touch for an estimate.
Story: The image was inspired by a cell phone snapshot of a lovely family member, standing in line to eat dinner by the sea! :) The process to make these wonderful trace monotypes is outlined in a video tutorial I posted on my youtube channel: https://youtu.be/vSBkHBQt7rU
