Artist's description:

This reduction Linocut print is inspired by that moment, when you stop and look.

I'm so fortunate to live in the middle of some beautiful British countryside, and have two rather elderly dogs to walk daily. I get to stop by the side of grass verges more than most. But if you stop and really, really look then there's a whole new world and lots of activity!

The colours and atmosphere certainly owes a nod to Henri Rousseau and his jungle paintings.

This is a one plate reduction Linocut. Hand printed with a baren onto Japanese Hosho paper, using Caligo inks. The process was repeated upwards of 8 times (l lost count).

This is a limited edition of just 8. Due to the hand printed nature each will be very slightly different from the rest, but only the best get offered for sale.

The image size is 29cm x 19cm, the paper size is 35.5cm x 25.5 cm.

It is sent in a cellphone envelope, backed with card in card backed enevelope, within the UK. International orders will be sent in an Art tube.

The print is unframed and unmounted.

Materials used:

Hosho paper, Lino, inks, baren

By the side of the road (2017)
