Artist's description:

This is a print taken from the surface of the wood itself! It shows both sides of the same piece of wood.

The wood was sanded, burned, wire brushed, sealed and then inked.

The wood isn't level enough to be put through the press so this image is hand burnished using a bone folder. Its a slow, careful process and takes up to an hour as every millimetre of the paper has to be pressed onto the wood.
But so worth it!
The Burr Elm is a local tree from Hexhamshire Hardwoods.

Printed by hand onto Fabriano Unica handmade paper 50% cotton content 250gsm.

Each print is signed and I note the date of printing on the reverse, and the number of the print.

No more than 150 will be printed.

This is available printed with Black Ink.

The image is available mounted using acid free mount board, with a fulfilment time of 3 days.
