The painting with title “Burning Ship” was dated and signed in 2015.
The work is oil on canvas.“Burning Ship” presents a scene dominated by water in predominantly blue hues. A ship is burning in the background floating on relatively calm waves. The other ship in the foreground is about to sink and the whole scene represents a dramatic conflict. The artist chose various shades of ochre for the flames, while the smoke uses shades of grey to black. Although the painting depicts a dramatic scene, the composition is dominated by tones of blue and white, which confer a sense of hope. Overall, the artist used bright intense colors emphasizing a positive feeling.
The painting was signed in the lower left corner of the canvas with a black oil brush and was signed in 2015
