Artist's description:

The Humber Bank is a landscape of contrast from the docks in Hull right through to the wilderness that is Spurn Point but as my family have connections to Brough we spent a lot of time at the Haven, the entrance to the yacht club. The evening light reflecting off the water and mud gave me an opportunity to use one of the great JMW Turner’s favourite pigments “Indian Yellow” for the first time. It is a colour which infused the whole painting with a wonderful warm glow.

As with most of my work it is supplied unframed so that the buyer can chose their own style to complete the work

Materials used:

Acrylic gesso textured base with oil paint over worked

Brough Haven (2016)
