This is the third one where I have used the layering technique but wanted to do our beloved Ganesha on a bigger canvas.
Kartikeya (symbolised as the peacock in this painting) and Ganesha are the two sons of Shiva and Parvati. There is the age old dispute of who is the elder one but no one can dispute the fact that they were very close and loved each other as siblings.
(Currently, part of collection at Ashok Jain Gallery, NY )
Gesso, stretched canvas, acrylic
