Artist's description:

A little description :
This funny frog made from the bronze. But at first the figure of this funny frog was made from wax.
For creating of mold for bronze I used special medical material "Silaur 9", which is able to be in the special high temperature oven (muffle furnace) without destroying. I put figure of wax frog into this "Silaur 9", and mold for bronze was ready after 60 minutes. Wax out of the mold was deleted with simple boiling of the mold in water, because melting wax flowed over the water through the hole in the mold.
Then I put the mold into the hot muffle oven for 2 hours, because this mold must become very hard. Melted bronze was poured into the hot mold and the mold was put in centrifuge. When bronze was cold - mold was destroyed. So - I could use this mold one time only, and I can not make the same frog again.
Of course, I did not buy this expensive oven for one my experience. I used the special equipment (centrifuge and the muffle furnace) from the chemical laboratory of my son. And he helped me during this dangerous work) I am satisfied with the result - but I understood that this work is for men))) I will never do it again!)))))) I used green stone ball for the tummy of the frog and the green stone for the "pond", so my frog is in the pond). I did not use any glue - so frog can be removed from the "stone pond" any moment). I painted this my frog too and my painting "The Dreamer of the green dreams" is on Artfinder too. Welcome to my shop). Stones are natural. It is Russian nephrite from Eastern Siberia. P.S. If you will buy my funny bronze Frog - my painting "The Dreamer of the green dreams" will be my gift for you. (The price of this painting is 108 euro now). I will send you the both artworks together.
