One of a series of 12 large paintings demonstrating the contrast between renewable and synthetic manufactured materials through the form of landscape. This portion of the series features the Summer just beginning to fade into Fall. The landscape was inspired by Vancouver and the surrounding Gulf Coast. The acrylic (manufactured) landscape was bloody torn apart and pieced back together using wood panel, hide glue, marble gesso and handmade gouache. The silhouettes in between the pieces symbolize the earth's power to regenerate. This one features a pinnately divided leaf between the cracks.
