This painting is of Bridget Bardot on one of her earliest photo shoots. The image was chosen to highlight thoughts on digital photographic images and how they pervade throughout the world via the Inter-web.
I had inverted the image to create a negative of the original, pixelating the image and painting, highlighting the digital reality of the pixel, manipulation and allowing the viewer to photograph the image to invert the painting on a computer back to its positive, revealing the image - therefore in-acting a response within the viewer and becoming a participant in the creation of the image.
