Artist's description:

I saw this planting in a suburban house and was struck by the contrast of the tall spiky yuccas framing the exuberant bougainvillea as it clambered over a white wall in a Sydney suburb in the spring.

Playing with colour dripped from a syringe onto very wet paper and finding the shapes that creates is a new adventure and I'm really enjoying the challenges of the process. There's something organic and serendipitous and not always controllable that is very appealing.

Please Note: Despite my best efforts to take accurate photos of my artworks, due to different monitors and devices the colours may vary slightly.

Materials used:

Watercolour and gouache on 360 gsm archival acid free German watercolour paper
