”Bottles” | Dariya Afaneseva
PublisherSeptember 26, 2016 Art, Design
Somehow being considered as a binder of social life, drink is present in all forms of art and design as a well-defined topic with infinite shades, shapes and interpretations.
If we refer only to wine, a journey into the history of wine is actually a journey into the history of civilizations, wine being the element that unifies all eras and which we can trace the history of mentalities and of the collective imaginary based on. Therefore, we find it in pagan civilizations, but also in the Christian ones, and even in the Buddhist one.
It, the wine, sets the pace of our existence, this process of grapes metamorphosed in the noble elixir making us take heed to our own inner transformation.
Some of the most talented graphic artists compete in giving distinctive shapes to the bottles containing various drinks but even more are those who strive to give a more attractive form to the labels or other visual identity elements of the product as a whole- the bottle together with the drink in it.
Let’s think, for instance, of the bars specially arranged with bottles of drinks from different brands, which together shall be considered as an element of interior design.
Here is how the wonderful bachic potions also find their interpretation and appearance through the brush and the easel of the painters.
In this respect, today I will present an artwork inspiringly integrated in an interior design. The piece of art obviously depicts the wonderful bottles that host wonderful potions. Our friend Dariya Afanaseva manages, in her own unique and nonconformist style, to give a different special hue to this intense debated theme portrayed in her fabulous painting entitled „Bottles”.
We would like to thank Daryia Afanaseva to the generosity with which she provides us the materials we need, each and every time.
