Artist's description:

This was one of the first owls I drew, cut, and printed. I love its feathery claws and its intense look.
I'm doing a series of owls I like the way they blend into their surroundings. I hear them every day, especially at night when I'm lying in bed, but I rarely see them. The owls in my pine trees got in a fight with some ravens who lived in the barn one summer. The owls were not happy that the ravens had taken over some of their terrain. They drove the ravens away!
