A scarlet red fishing boat waits in Arbroath Harbour, Scotland, on still water reflections. Colourful houses stand in the background. The smell of the famous smokies, the still harbour air, the resting vessels - Arbroath is an undiscovered gem. I go there regularly to paint.
The subject naturally suits a kitchen or bathroom wall, although perhaps an upstairs landing or hallway would also make a great home.
The frame is handmade by myself, featuring a stylish wide grey moulding that gives the piece a contemporary feel.
