…my latest favourite paper. A convenient size, just the right absorbency for this raw paper, and a thick paper.
I’ve been wanting to do sports action paintings for some time now. I’m thinking of extreme poses, movement, splashing the paint. I thought of football moments… and there will surely be paintings of that to come. But I find myself fascinated by BMX sports. Here I portray the rider in mid air as he dances with his bike. The event itself is surreal, and perfect for abstract sports painting…

The close up picture allows you a better feel for the texture and brush stroke of the painting. The third picture is me holding up the painting for perspective.
