In this photo of the old Brighton pier (or rather, the burnt skeleton of the original construction) I focused on two charcoal pillars and cropped them in a way that makes them seem endless. I thought about the loneliness of two proximate parallel lines that meet only at infinity - a concept that has stuck with me from my early geometry classes. The alienation of the lines is softened by the diffused reflection, giving hope for a sort of Imaginary Lacanian space for a 'Blurred Vision of the Touch', your touch.
