Bluebell Wood is a captivating piece of artwork, each time you look at the painting you see more. 
Bella, (my chocolate labrador dog) and myself were taking a walk on the first bright, spring day of the year, the birds were singing and as we walked through the wood, rays of sunshine lit up the dense woodland, exposing a host of bluebells and wild, spring flowers nestled amongst fresh grass.  I was captivated by their beauty and dazzling colours and came home and painted the scene.  I wanted to portray the fusion of wild flowers which were jostling for position to capture the warmth of the spring sunshine, so I painted many layers, then applied a clear resin, followed by a further layer of flowers.  The colours are mesmerising and this painting comes to life under light, shimmering and bedazzling all who look at it, you almost feel you are walking in the wood.

Acrylic and fine, shimmering glitters and finished with a clear resin.
