Artwork description:

Artist’s Proof available. The edition has sold out but I have the one kept for me available for sale!

This Lino cut was a response to a challenge from 'Pressing Matters,' which is a magazine for print makers. The challenge was to create a print using only blue and black ink. I used only Process Blue (cyan) and black ink to create all the tones of this print, thinning the inks down with ink extender, so they are transparent. This means the layers of coloured inks build and react with each other, creating many tones. The rocks were printed with opaque blue and black to make them appear more solid. If you look at my other work you'll see that I usually use lots of colour, so this was an interesting project for me.

This is entirely hand printed, no machines are involved. In fact, there was so little lino left the final two layers couldn't even go through my etching press, I printed them using a handheld baren. As it is hand made there are slight variations in each print.

It is printed on beautiful thick Italian paper using oil based inks. The paper measures approximately 37cm by 26cm and the image size is 30.5cm by 20.3cm. As it is a smaller print, it is posted flat where possible.

The postage and packaging fees are for up to 2 prints. If you purchase more than 2 prints I will package them together, where possible and refund excess postage costs.

For the U.K. I ship Royal Mail 1st class tracked or Special Delivery depending on the value of the package.
International orders are shipped Royal Mail International tracked.

Outside the U.K. and USA local customs/duty charges may be incurred. These are the responsibility of the customer and outside my control.
