Artwork description:

"Blue IV" is one linocut from cycle of 6 works. Cycle is called Blue and all linocuts are numbered in their name. This one is fourth in the line and it represents positive and careless marine life on coral reef. The edition of this linocut is made in total 7 prints and only 2 are available.
Ink color: Black / offset ink.
Paper color: White.
Idea behind the work: This whole "Blue" cycle I dedicated to marine life and it's beauty. I also wanted to give more attention to alarming situation of the seas and all of the things that are slowly but surely getting forever lost. This specific work, number 4, was imagined as a piece of coral reef, as they are in a great danger of disappearing.
Please note that linocut print is original piece of art and it has different meaning than prints made and printed digitally.
Printmaking is traditional fine art technique that is producing multiple originals and all prints made in one edition are numbered and signed by the artist.

Materials used:

Fine art paper and offset color
