This is the first in this year's holiday series! My ideas come from everyday things that I see. I'm a big fan of photography and composition, so it's really important that my work has strong compositional elements as well as a photographic quality. I'm always impressed at the capability of the human hand, so photo-realism is the way I challenge myself. My biggest goal is to trick the viewer into believing they're viewing a photograph. Objects that take on the colors of their surroundings are my favorite subjects: cars, chrome, glass, water and metals are some of the materials I love to challenge myself to reproduce, but I also draw people, pets etc. on commission, Details, precision, and hyper-realism are my specialty.
I do commissioned pieces quite often, but nothing makes me happier than seeking out my own inspiration through my photography, focusing on color, light, reflections, glass, portraits, and other challenging subjects.
