Artist's description:

This realist painting depicts the facade of a bar in New York City and is part of an ongoing series.
It is a realist painting that accurately displays a real place that no longer exists. From the name it appears that it first opened in 1979, but growth and progress led to it's demise when it was demolished several years ago.
This is one of my realist paintings and is a good example of the effort I make to insure the accuracy of the building the building.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint on stretched canvas

Blue Gold '79 Bar (2012)
