A juicy, highly textured painting done in opaque and translucent blues, teal, sea foam white and turquoise. This painting was done by first using Golden molding paste which I carved into to make the design and forms. It was then left overnight to cure. Over the next week I used acrylic paints, glazes, mediums and salt to modulate hue and create interesting surface textures. To protect and create a glass like finish a thick acrylic coating of clear glaze was put over top followed by a final varnish. The result is luscious! I have left the edges rough as the piece can be framed showing these organic edges if you so desire.
