Artist's description:

The stories of the diamond mining in Africa and how people, even children are slaved to mine them, really disturbed me.
This painting focus on that, the ants representing the workers under almost army regimes to work, with the eagle representing the big people in charge and the big companies that buy the diamonds to export to those countries where people with money just snatches them without caring where they come from or how they were found, their only concern being the bling of the stones and to be pertinacious and show off their wealth.

Materials used:

Fire blanket, acrylic paints, varnish

Blood diamonds (2013)
