In many cultures the butterfly symbolizes the soul. Even the people of the antiquity saw in the butterfly the symbol of the rebirth. In this print the soul may come or leave.
Woodblock print: 9 color reduction print. Handprint (no press used). This can lead to small color spots, as well as deviations in the color application and print image, which makes every print an original. Edition of 20 prints.
Printed on Japan Paper. Tosa Shi paper, pure white, one side silk matt, one side fine rough, ph neutral, and with archival permanence.
