Artist's description:

Every Spring I go visit the "Jardins des Iris" in Vullierens, not far from my home. It's a celebration of colours, hundreds of different kinds of irises in a beautiful setting, with the castle in the background and sculptures all around the garden.
I've spent hours there sketching and taking photos, and from one of them I was inspired to paint this watercolour.

I used a Daniel Smith mineral pigment here which has a sparkling effect which I tried to show on the photos.

Please note that the colors of the original paintings are always slightly different from what they appear on computer monitors/mobile screens .
