Black hill farm is another completely fictional place that could resemble any number of geographical locations. It is an attempt to recapture the remoteness and solitude of a hill farm.
My main focus with this painting was the textures in the foreground and the way the bright greens contrast with the indigo mix used on the back ground hill. The contrast that you achieve when you introduce a bright colour next to a darker element in the landscape is a recurring theme in my work and one that I love to explore.
Original Watercolour Painting presented in a double white mount framed in a lime-washed light Ash wooden frame.
