Artist's description:

Walking down to the reservoir is one of our favourite things to do and at the moment the landscape is just beginning to be tinged with a burnished, autumn warmth. I've used little leaves of gold to embellish the ash tree in the middle distance giving a three dimensional glisten, layering up flowing washes of acrylic ink colour, painting wet in wet in a free, imprecise way, echoing that feeling of striding out into the wide, open, fresh aired landscape. I wanted it to be almost collage like, a tapestry of nature to enjoy!

Materials used:

acrylic ink, acrylic paint on canvas, pen, gold leaf

Bewl Water, East Sussex (2017)
