Artist's description:

A fellow artist, a sculptor, brought over about a dozen new clay vases, he called Bevies, for me to photograph. I loved his free form shapes, but after photographing them in a group I realized how each one looked like a cat and started teasing him about his new cat family. My sculptor friend didn't take well to me calling his Bevies cats.

I couldn't resist and set up a pair of Bevies among a cairn still life I was painting. Here is the result. For my sculpture friend I call the painting "Bevies and Cairns", but tell me, don't they look like cats? Art inspired by art.
